What is anxiety?
Anxiety is an emotion, very similar to fear. We usually feel anxious when we think we are being threatened by something. Anxiety can be associated with a raised heart rate, nausea and tension in the stomach. It is possible to be anxious without being fully aware of what is causing the feeling.

The important thing to understand is that anxiety is generated by how you perceive a situation, not the situation itself.
